This is the apologetics and intellectual history series every young Christian should know.

Francis Schaeffer—perhaps the most influential Christian thinker in the last 100 years—clearly explains the basics of worldview thinking in this combined book and video series. Filmed at over 100 locations in eight countries, it is a spectacular presentation of the flow of history, ideas, and cultural analysis from a Christian perspective.

The fact that the series is nearly 50 years old makes it even more valuable: many of his predictions have come true with startling accuracy. This lends great credibility to his Biblical and cultural insight.

Physical Book Recommended: How Should We Then Live? by Dr. Francis Schaeffer. We have it for sale in our store.

The series works best by using the videos and book together. For those wanting to take this class as a half credit in history/philosophy, we have added in additional learning materials including quizzes, research topics, original sources, and essay questions.

There is a downloadable Study Guide available with course purchase. We also recommend purchasing the companion book to the series.

About Instructor

Francis Schaeffer

Francis A. Schaeffer was an American Evangelical theologian, philosopher, and Presbyterian pastor. He is most famous for his writings and his establishment of the L'Abri community in Switzerland. Opposed to theological modernism, Schaeffer promoted an orthodox Protestant faith and a presuppositional approach to Christian apologetics. A number of scholars credit his ideas with helping spark the rise of the Christian Right in the United States.
