Here are two great books that are very insightful on Deuteronomy. The first is a series of sermons that works as a commentary. Of the two books, I would recommend you get this first. It’s called “Deuteronomy: A Mentor Expository Commentary” by Douglas Kelly. Here’s the Amazon link: https://a.co/d/1CpsojM

The next is a commentary by John Currid called “Deuteronomy (EP Study Commentary)” and follows more of the traditional commentary approach. Here’s the Amazon link: https://a.co/d/4ACoyOO

Both provide excellent insight into what sometimes be a challenging book to understand. Dr. Kelly’s book is probably one of the best books I’ve ever read on any book of the Bible. It’s an amazing synthesis of scholarship, history, culture, commentary, and application.
