Music Streaming: Spotify
The quickest way to access a world of music is through a music streaming service. There are services dedicated to classical music, like Naxos Music Library, but the best popular services (Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music) have regularly added classical music to their popular music catalog.
To get the most out of this course, we recommend a Spotify account. We’ve created playlists for each lesson on both of those services. It will be easy to follow along with the music you are learning, and you can import the playlists to your own account and use them as the basis for playlists of your own as you find works that you enjoy.
- Create an account with an email address. You can also login with an existing account, or link a Google, Facebook, or Apple account.
- Visit Compass Classroom’s public profile, where you will find all the playlists we’ve created. Click the Follow button so you will be notified of any updates or new playlists.
- If you are using a desktop or laptop computer, you can use the Spotify web player or the app for your operating system.
- If you are using a mobile device, find the Spotify app on your respective app store (Apple | Google Play).
