Lesson 3: The Rock Cycle and Igneous Rocks
There are three types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. Rocks can change from one type to another by the processes of weathering, metamorphism, and recrystallization. This constant change creates the rock cycle. Igneous rocks are rocks formed by the cooling of molted rock.
