The Old Testament section of the Zondervan Handbook of Biblical Archaeology was written by Dr. Randall Price, a well-known archaeologist who has done extensive field work in Israel. He does an excellent job explaining the archaeological record from a conservative, Biblical approach.
The readings that have been selected from his book generally support the material in each lesson. In some instances, however, there is not any overlap. When that happens, we will try to provide you with another reading source.
In order to follow Dr. Petrovich’s material, you will be reading a variety of selections from the Handbook. You are welcome to read additional sections that are not assigned (in fact, we would encourage you to do so).
