This class is designed to introduce you to the world of creation science.

Most people don’t realize just how much research has been done in these areas. There is so much material, in fact, it can be rather overwhelming. My hope is that this class makes the process as clear as possible. I can’t promise it will always be easy, but I can promise you’ll learn a lot of new things.

I’m going to guide you using the books, articles, and video interviews I used to teach myself creation science. Since I was the one who wrote, produced, and directed all of the Is Genesis History? materials, I’ve tried to organize them in a way that will be most useful to you.

Be forewarned: there is a lot I don’t understand. I have spent over five years studying these topics, and I am continually reminded of how little I really know. You shouldn’t worry if you don’t understand everything. There is a lot you can understand so I’ll do my best to make it understandable.

Lesson Structure

The class is divided into lessons that generally follow a certain topic. I’ve chosen different videos, articles, book chapters, and research projects. You can step through these at your own pace, although they can generally be done one week at a time; some, however, could take a few weeks.

There are 22 lessons, which can be divided into 11 and 11, or 12 and 10 (to keep the break at the subject matter).

  • Lessons 1-12 – Semester 1
  • Lessons 13-22 – Semester 2

However, it’s possible that some material may be more difficult for a student to grasp, and so taking two weeks for a lesson is perfectly fine.

Videos

There are a variety of videos included with this class. Some of them have English captions available; if they do, you’ll see the CC at the bottom. Just click on it and choose English.

The videos come from the following original sources:

  • Is Genesis History? film
  • Beyond Is Genesis History? Vols 1 to 3 (48 videos)
  • Is Genesis History? Conference in 2017 (72 videos)

If you’d like to own DVDs of these products, you can buy them at IsGenesisHistory.com

Reading

Many of the readings for this class are either embedded into the steps or are linked to other places on the internet.

Some readings, however, are only available in books. I have provided some books to purchase if you wish to complete the course with the workload I designed for credit. These are listed and linked in the next step. But even without the books, you will be reading a lot.

A few of the readings come from articles posted on IsGenesisHistory.com

Readings on specific doctrines are taken from the Is Genesis History? Bible Study book which is available in our store either as a stand-alone book or part of the Bible Study set.

Quizzes

We will eventually include quizzes for all of the lessons. It is your choice to do them or not; for instance, you may prefer only to study the material and not take quizzes. The goal of the quizzes is help focus your understanding and give you an opportunity to review the material.

Going Deeper

The initial steps in each lesson provide the basic foundation for anyone taking the class. But many students may want to learn more about particular subjects.

I have therefore included steps in each lesson called ‘Going Deeper’ that let you explore different topics at increasingly more complex levels. You do not have to do all these steps but many of them will explain things more fully and with greater technical accuracy.

Advanced Topics

These are technical-level discussions on areas that are related to the primary subject, but are of secondary interest. They consist of conference lectures and technical papers. These are not required, but they do include some very interesting material. These will periodically be expanded as new material is identified that fits these categories.

In closing, my hope is that you enjoy this class and come away understanding much more about science, the Bible, and the history of the earth.
