The directions say to circle the predicate adjectives and underline the predicate nominatives. I know English grammar well enough to realize what’s what, but the key seems to be in error. (Note that many words appear to be both circled and underlined.) Can anyone help me here?

I do not know Latin myself, so I hope this error is an anomaly, since I’m guessing that as my student progresses through the course, I would not know if answers were correct or not without the key.

Yes, the answer key is wrong. All the predicate adjectives (happy, brave, good, weary, bright, beautiful, fun, large, and high) should be circled only. All the predicate nominatives (mom, island, spirit, men, language, and Mr. Arnot) should be underlined only.
