I am intrigued by Lingua Latina Pars I, but is there a direct answer key for the text so I know if my daughter is translating it correctly? Thanks!

There is no answer key that I know of. However, there is an audio translation you can use. I recommend attempting the chapter before listening to this: https://soundcloud.com/50percentlatin/sets/llpsi-translations

Also, I have taught Lingua Latina for years on my site: http://www.dwanethomas.com. Those classes are still up.

Dwane, am I correct that we only need the main volume for Lingua Latina: Pars1? I have two students. Any recommendation about whether they each need their own copy or not?

I’ll let @DwaneVL provide the final word, but since Lingua Latina is designed as a reader with no space to write “answers” as in a workbook, one copy of the book should be sufficient!

        Hi, Kelly!

Up to you really. Lingua Latina is a novel, and is a great book to have around for reviewing Latin. I have students who still refer back to their books years later. For this reason alone, most of my students prefer to have their own copies.

Ben is right. There certainly isn’t enough room in the book to respond to questions. So, many students will get an extra notebook and answer questions there. If you go this route, one book is definitely fine.

Let me know if you need more help.

Hope you are having a great day!
