For planning out our schedule, it would be incredibly helpful to list or be able to see the video length listed on each step in a course.

Currently, in order to determine how long a video is, I have to actually enter each step and start the video to see the video controls which list the length of the video.

Thank you for the suggestion, Daniel! We have those durations and could add them to the course software.

Which course are you exploring at the moment? We could use that one as a test for the format and visibility of this feature.

I was looking at the Parables videos as well as the “Is Genesis History” feature film, additional materials, and the “beyond” episodes. It would also be helpful with Dave Raymond’s American History course, to determine how many steps we should do each day. Basically anywhere under “course content”.

I’m thinking if each “step” said either “Video (hr:min:sec)” or “Assignment (estimated time)” that would be awesome. Instead of “Assignment” I guess you could get more detailed, like Reading, Discussion, Lab, Project, Test, etc, but however you do it the video length at the very least should be more prominent. Thanks!

Agreed! I’ve been periodically clicking through each video in American History to write the time on the grade tracking sheet so that I can plan our days. It would be fantastic if the length of each video was more readily visible in the course.

For some reason, they are not displaying for me. I’m on a computer, not mobile, so I would think I could see them. Not sure if I’m not looking in the right place?

I see them now but since some titles are long, I can’t see them until I click on the title and open the step.

Vita–Can you share a screenshot of what you are looking at? Some of the step names are long, but even on a smaller desktop window it appears that they all show up when expanding the lesson.

If you can share details about your setup (screen resolution) maybe our developer can adjust the size at which long text gets separated into lines.
