Lab #7 Presentation/ Biogeochemical cycles

I had a question about this presentation: Dr. Wise wants us to choose a biogeochemical cycle to do a presentation on and I chose the phosphorus cycle. When I pull it up on the web it is considered a biogeochemical cycle, however there are not any biomatrix organisms specifically involved in fixation or defixation. Phosphate ions do not need to be fixed, however they are contained in rocks which wear down over time, and detritivores decompose the bodies of consumers that have eaten phosphate containing plants. Does this still count?

I think it might be alright becuase Dr. Wise only warned us to not choose the water cycle or the rock cycle, he didn’t give any other parameters for what cycles weren’t actually biogeochemical ones.
